Rejoicing Sunday
Today is Mothers Day. We wish all mothers a very happy day and say thanks
to them for all they do and have done for their families.
A Blessing for Mothers: The lord Bless you and keep you; the Lord make his
face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face towards you
and give you his peace. (Numbers 6:24-26).
Next Sunday is the Feast of St. Patrick our National Patron Saint.

Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament:
Aughavas: Monday 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm.
Cloone: Tuesday 8.00 pm to 9.00 pm.
Service of Light for Confirmation will take place in St. Joseph’s Church
Aughavas for Aughavas and Cloone Pupils on Thursday next 14th March ‘13 at
8.00 pm. It is a requirement for the Sacrament that all pupils are present for the
ceremony. ‘Parents of the Pupils are requested to attend as this ceremony is
centred on Parents Passing on their Faith to their Children’.
The Pledge will be given at the end of the ceremony. Parents and Pupils should
discuss the Pledge, To abstain from All Alcoholic Drinks until 18 years of age,
prior to the ceremony and decide if their child is going to take the Pledge. The Pledge
also includes a promise not to take drugs.
National Pro-Life Rosary Rally: is taking place outside the Dáil in Dublin on Saturday, 23rd
of March. It will be a chance to ask and thank God that abortion will be kept out of Ireland,

Novena of Rosaries in Aughavas church from 15th to the 22nd March ‘13 at 7.00 pm each
day for success of the rally.
Comhrá agus Ceol: Every Thursday, there will be a chance to speak Irish in Aughavas
Community Centre from 8-9pm. From 9-10pm, there is an opportunity to learn Irish music.
St. Joseph’s N.S. Aughavas Enrolment Forms for Sept. 2013: Enrolment forms are now
available at the school. Completed forms to be returned together with child’s Birth Certificate and Baptismal Certificate before 15th March.
Fatima N.S. Cloone Enrolment: School enrolment forms for children wishing to start in
Cloone in Sept. 2013 are now available through the school or from Cloone/Aughavas
Playschool. Completed forms should be returned to the school by March 22nd,
accompanied by child’s Birth/Baptismal Certificate. Children wishing to start must be four
years old by September.

Cloone Homecoming Festival and School's Re-Union: Next event on our calendar will be
the fundraising ticket draw in Creegan’s on 17th March with a full night's entertainment. If
you haven't got a ticket contact any member of the committee. Current names and addresses
or e-mail addresses are urgently required for past pupils/natives of the locality to enable us to

Training for Childminders and potential Childminders: 11 hour training on topics of

The I.H.C.P.T. would like to thank all who contributed to its annual Church Gate Collection
held last weekend. The amount collected at St. Joseph’s Church, Aughavas was €321.00.
The AGM of Cloone Agricultural Show will be held on Tuesday night 12th March at 9 pm
in the Community Centre. All members requested to attend and new members welcome.
Aughavas/Cloone Active Age: Our next meeting will take place in Cloone Community Centre on Thursday the 21st of March @ 8.30 pm to discuss our proposed trip to Killarney and
other relevant matters. A full attendance is requested.
